Formal Education and Training

I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in addictions from Lewis & Clark College. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, C6815) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.

I have previously held certifications as a Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor (CGAC-I) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-I), choosing not to renew after becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I also have specialized training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and Support Group Facilitator Training.

I have extensive training in psychedelic therapy, including training in ketamine-assited psychotherapy with PRATI (Psychedelic Research and Training Institute), and general trainings from MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and Lewis & Clark Center for Continuing Education.

I have over 12 years of outpatient counseling experience, the last 5 in private practice. My experience includes mental health counseling, group facilitation, substance abuse treatment, process addiction treatment (gambling, technology, compulsions), and crisis intervention.

My approach integrates existential psychotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), self-compassion, parts work (Internal Family Systems or IFS), narrative and solution-focused therapies, occasionally including more traditional types of therapy (CBT, DBT, psychodynamic). Beyond talk therapy, I have experience with somatic and mindfulness-based interventions, as well as psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and an expanding, inclusive understanding of mental health, while remaining informed by neuroscience.
